Negative Exponent:

If x ≠ 0, and a is an integer,
then x – a = 1/ x a

EXAMPLE:

2 – 3 = 1/ 2 3 = 1/ 8

  • 2 - 1; 2 - 1 = 1/ 2 1 = 1/ 2
